Filament Tape
Filament tape, also known as strapping tape, is a pressure sensitive tape composed of polypropylene film with embedded fiberglass filaments for added tensile strength. It is used to hold insulation in place prior to the installation of the outer jacketing or to strengthen pipe sections. Common sizes for filament tape are ½”, ¾”, and 1”.
