Short radius mineral wool elbows are made of preformed mineral wool insulation that is designed to fit over short radius pipe elbows. Mineral wool insulation is high-temperature and can be used in firestopping applications due to its composition; it is made from volcanic rock, primarily basalt, which lends well to extreme heat resistance and firestopping capabilities. Short radius mineral wool elbow fittings can be fabricated as Short Radius (SR) 90’s and 45’s.
