Industrial vacuums are used for general cleaning in industrial environments. Certain types of industrial vacuum cleaners, such as HEPA vacuums, can be used for specialty applications. HEPA vacuums are those that contain HEPA filters that are capable of trapping extremely small, micron-sized particles. HEPA filters (high efficiency particulate air filters) are designed to remove 99.97% of all particles that are 0.3 microns in size that pass through it. HEPA standards are set by the U.S. Department of Energy.
